From a full-time actress, Jennica Garcia Uytingco is now a full-time mom.
Her first daughter, Mori, is now two years old while her second child is expected to arrive in June. Jennica’s second pregnancy was critical after her doctor diagnosed her condition with a threatened termination just three months in.
Jennica’s love for parenting urged her to share her knowledge with others. She holds “Kalinga ni Nanay” parenting classes that aim to teach parents different ways on how to raise their children properly, without resulting to child violence. It strives to teach parents to create a “healthy and positive home environment that encourages your child to follow you with LOVE.”
With her newfound advocacy, Jennica is 100 percent supported by her loving husband, Alwyn Uytingco. The two have been married for four years now.
“Si Jennica, adik iyan sa pagiging nanay,” Alwyn jokingly said.
For some time now, the couple considered leaving show business and the city life behind in exchange for a simpler life in the province. In Alwyn’s social media accounts, he hinted that they plan to live in Siquijor.
“Minsan, gusto ko na lang tanungin ang anak ko ng, ‘Anak, saan mo gusto tumira?’ ‘tapos tatanggapin ko na lang ‘yon bilang hudyat ni Lord para mag-alsa balutan na kami at umalis.”
In 2017, when they visited the aforementioned province, Alywn said, “Nagpasya ang aming pamilya namamasyal, pero siguro, hindi pagbabakasyon ang tunay na payak namin.”
